How can I get to the Zoo?
The CARABUS summer route 31 goes from the Royan transport interchange station to the bus stop opposite La Palmyre Zoo;By car:
Starting from Royan, take the ring road towards Vaux-sur-mer/La Palmyre. The zoo is 16 kms from Royan, on the D25.

The zoo has two large free carparks P1 and P2.
You're driving a campervan or a bus?
Go to P2 car park which has parking spaces for large vehicles.
Coach passengers can be dropped off at the bus stop in front of the Zoo entrance, opposite the ticket booth.
Please note: Campervans are not allowed to park here overnight during July and August..

What is the Royan area or "Pays Royannais" exactly?
The "Pays Royannais" is an area covering 34 communes (towns or villages) including Royan which is the best known and most famous on the Côte de Beauté. The Royan area stretches over more than 50 km of Atlantic coastline between two estuaries. The multitude of places to discover and very varied country landscapes are so many invitations to travel. Four entirely different environments make the Royan area exceptionally rich in terms of both the historic and natural heritage.
